
LEAGUE RULES.
1. All matches are to start at 7.30pm with 15 minutes grace allowed to travelling teams.
2. Teams with a genuine reason may re-arrange matches giving 48 hours notice to the Opposing Captain, and agree to play the match within ONE week. Contact must be made with the press officer (Tom Hogan – 028 44 617073).
3. Teams failing to carry out fixtures;
First Offence - £20
Second Offence - £30
Third Offence – Team will be Suspended from the league.
4. The winning Captain, or in the event of a draw, the home Captain is responsible for PHONING the match results to the press officer.
5. Match results MUST be with the press officer by Wednesday 6pm (Sunday / Monday matches) or Sunday 6pm (Wednesday matches). Results not received in this time the points will be awarded to the opposing team.
6. ALL cards MUST be signed by BOTH Captains. Failure to comply with this rule, the offending team will be fined £10.00. ALL CARDS MUST BE PRESENTED TO THE HANDICAP COMMITTEE AT THE MONTHLY MEETINGS.
7. NO league matters to be discussed outside league meetings.
8. In all cup matches, players play as drawn.
9. Gentlemanly conduct will be observed at ALL times.
ANYONE BRINGING THE GAME INTO DISREPUTE WILL BE REPORTED TO THE COMMITTEE.
10. Only 15 minutes grace will be allowed for a home player to start a game after first/second game is finished.
11. All games must be finished in the league.
12. Any player barred from a club the game MUST be played with the home team selecting another venue.
13. Players must be neat & tidy. SHIRT / BLOUSE & TIE MUST BE WORN IN ANY FINAL.
14. Any player failing to turn up for individual games will be suspended from taking part the following season.
15. Club teams must sell their allocation of ballot tickets or they may forfeit any prize.
16. The Referees decision is FINAL.
In the event of a dispute the TEAM CAPTAINS will try to resolve the issue amicably.
17. At least ONE member from each club must attend ALL finals. Failure to do so will result in no league meetings being held on your premises. If you are not registered in a respective league, you do not have to attend the finals for that league.
18. The handicap committee reserve the right to adjust the handicap of a player at any stage of the season, regardless of the number of frames he/she has played.
19. In the event of a disciplinary hearing, members of the club involved will NOT be eligible for a vote on the matter.
20. If the league receives an invitation from another league/competition to play in a tournament, then the winners of that respective league or indeed the individual winner shall be selected to play. In the event that they cannot accept, then the invitation will be extended to the league or individual runner-up. If again, they cannot accept, the decision will be put to a committee vote.
21. Any incident or event arising not covered in these rules, the committee will make a decision which will then, in turn, be implemented into the league rules.
22. In the event of a draw in a SNOOKER cup, each captain will nominate ONE player to play ONE frame to determine the result. ( Full handicaps Apply).
23. MISS RULE - A miss will only be called in the following situations;
1. If a player is seeing the FULL BALL & fails to hit the ball a MISS will be called.
2. If a player is snookered a GENUINE ATTEMPT must be made AT ALL TIMES to hit the required ball otherwise a MISS will be called.
RULES CAN BE AMENDED AT ANY TIME!
