LEAGUE RULES

  1.        All matches are to start at 7.30pm. Teams arriving late must record reason on Score Card. Persistent offenders WILL be fined. All three away players must be at the venue for the start of match

2.        Teams with a genuine reason may re-arrange matches giving 48 hours notice to the Opposing Captain, and agree to play the match within ONE week. Contact must be made with the league secretary and the press officer.

3.        Teams failing to carry out fixtures,

          First Offence - £20

          Second Offence - £30

          Third Offence – Team will be Suspended from the league.

4.        The HOME Captain is responsible for PHONING the league match results to the press officer. Cards to be handed in at monthly meetings. except in cup matches where winning captain is responsible                   

5.        Match results MUST be with the press officer by 6pm WEDNESDAY (Monday Matches), 6pm FRIDAY (Wednesday Matches) and 6pm TUESDAY (Sunday Matches) . Results not received in this time £20 fine

6.        NO league matters to be discussed outside league meetings.

7.        In all cup matches, players play as drawn.

8.        Gentlemanly conduct will be observed at ALL times.

Anyone bringing the game into disrepute will be reported to the committee.

9.        Only 15 minutes grace will be allowed for a home player to start a game after first/second game is finished.

10.     All games must be finished in the league.

11.     Any player barred from a club, the game MUST be played with the home team selecting another venue.

12.     Players must be neat & tidy. SHIRT & TIE MUST BE WORN IN ANY FINAL WITH NO JEANS OR TRAINERS.

13.    Players  failing to turn up for individual games will be fined £10 and will be suspended from playing in the individuals until the fine is paid

14.     All teams must sell their allocation of ballot tickets or they may forfeit any prize or face penalty.

15.     The Referees decision is FINAL. In the event of a dispute, the TEAM CAPTAINS will try to resolve the issue amicably.

16.     At least ONE member from each club must attend ALL finals in their respective league. Failure to do so will result in £20 PENALTY FINE

17.     The handicap committee reserve the right to adjust the handicap of a player at any stage of the season, regardless of the number of frames he/she has played.

18.     In the event of a disciplinary hearing, members of the club involved will NOT be eligible for a vote on the matter.

19.     Any league representative team or individual invitations will be chosen by the committee.

20.     Any incident or event arising not covered in these rules, the committee will make a decision that will then, in turn, be implemented into the league rules.

21.     In the event of a draw in a SNOOKER or BILLIARDS cup match, each captain will nominate ONE player to play ONE frame to determine the result. (Full  handicaps Apply).

22.     MISS RULE – Even if a player is snookered, a genuine attempt MUST be made to hit the ball on, otherwise a MISS will be called.

23.     ONE member from each CLUB MUST attend the monthly meetings otherwise £20 PENALTY FINE

24.     In the event of a team pulling out of the first half of the league, ALL points gained against that team will be null & void. In the event that a team pulls out in the second half, points will stand for first half only.

25.     Tables should be CLEAN & TIDY before all matches

26.     Each team is responsible for 2 tickets for the annual presentation night.

27.     Teams without full quota of players for a match will be FINED £20.

28.     A player may transfer to one other team during the season & a team can only accept two transfers during the season.

29.     Player of the year will be the player that wins the most matches in the season. In the event of a draw, the person with the most points will be deemed the winner. This applies to both the Billiards & Snooker League.

30     Matches can only be cancelled in the evevt of extreme weather conditions or in the event of a death in the family of a team member players not available on the night of a match does not constitute a match being cancelled
